The Gatsby

Updated: Jan 15, 2019

Technically a fundraiser. More like a hell of a party with great intentions.

Ah...The Gatsby. Founded by Michelle Thomas in 2013 as a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association that has morphed into a must attend event for Rutherford County and the brave souls that trek down from Nashville to dance the night away.

Whenever anyone mentions the Gatsby it is usually followed by one of the following statements:

Do you have your dress yet? (20's Attire Strongly Recommended)

Are you Ubering? (Jack Daniels is the Main Sponsor)

What's in the swag bag this year? (Every Year, Something Amazing)

I am honored to be Chairing the event this year and in typical Michelle T and Jessica V fashion...we're changing things up. The location. The entertainment. Hell, even the tablecloths. When you have Jack Daniels providing top shelf cocktails, Mayday Brewery pouring their foamy goodness and plenty of wine...a good time is guaranteed. This year though...it may just be epic.

The Gatsby follows in the footsteps of its namesake as a lavish party for one night to dance your worries away. But don't let that fool you. The primary goal of this event is to raise as much money as possible to donate towards the Alzheimer's Association. My grandmother and great grandmother passed from it. I carry the risk gene myself. It's personal. As it is for so many people. This disease is not slowing down. We need to find a cure or, at the very least, treatment to radically slow the decline.

So, if you would like to attend...we promise it will easily be the best $100 tax deductible ticket you will purchase this year. If you would like to sponsor, you have a guaranteed seat at the table. And if you're a business that would like to donate a silent auction item...we welcome it all with open arms.

See you there, dollface!
